The Premium Cigar Association is hosting their annual PCA trade show next year. The location is Las Vegas just like the last few shows, although next year the show will be in New Orleans. It’s the time of the year that many cigar brands are releasing new products and we listed the latest press releases in this one article.

Lampert Cigars

The Lampert Limitada 2023 is a 6 ½ x 56 toro gordo that uses an Ecuadorian criollo 98 wrapper over an Ecuadorian Habano 2000 binder and fillers from Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Peru. The cigars were rolled in 2023; hence the Lampert Limitada has an additional band with 2023 embossed.

A select number of stores will receive a soft launch of the new release in the coming weeks, while it will get a full launch at the 2024 PCA Convention & Trade Show in March.

The Lampert Limitada 2023 is produced at Tabacos de Costa Rica and will be available in 10 CT cabinet boxes with a MSRP of $16. In the U.S., just 450 boxes of 10 cigars will be available.

The Cornerstone is priced at an MSRP of $16 per cigar, offered in boxes of 10. Nationwide shipping to retailers will commence following the PCA event.
Adventura

ADVentura Cigars announces The Chancellor, the first new release from the new factory, and first Elite Broker collaboration.

Today, we welcome the latest addition to The Royal Return line – The Chancellor! A 52 x 6 packaged in boxes of ten and wrapped in a delectable Corojo wrapper, the Chancellor is an exciting extension of The Royal Return story that we can’t wait to share with you all.

The back story of this line is one that we’re incredibly proud of, and revolves around our right-hand man: Adrian Acosta. Many of you have likely met Adrian at your local cigar lounge, hosting an awesome event,  sharing a laugh, and spreading the cigar culture throughout the land. The Chancellor is Adrian’s cigar, one that was created as part of our Elite Broker Program.” explains Marcel Knobel, co-founder of ADVentura Cigars.”

What’s an Elite Broker Program? We’re glad you asked! Here at ADVentura we believe in making cigars with the best quality tobaccos, supporting our retail partners with a balance of exclusive cigars and Limited Edition releases, and crafting distinguishable stories and consistent blends for our fans with our Core Line releases. To support that mission, we have our Elite Account program for our top retail partners, allowing them early access to new releases and the chance to make their own exclusive cigars. Similarly, we offer that opportunity to our sales team – our best salesmen have the opportunity to create their own cigar line with Marcel and Henderson.”

And Adrian did just that. “Adrian is not just any  broker; he is a true believer in ADVentura and literally our right hand. He believe in us, even when we not believe in ourselves.” says Henderson Ventura, co-founder of ADVentura Cigars.
It doesn’t hurt that he comes from quite the tobacco lineage himself! Adrian’s father specializes in tobacco seed germination and has held some very special tobaccos for projects such as these.

First and foremost, I feel very happy for the outcome of this blend but more importantly to be part of ADV team In USA In the past 6 years. I also want to highlight; with this cigar we want to create harmony and a beautiful expression of what a great cigar is all about. We want to honour and salute our loyal ADV Clients for supporting us after the fire on Sept 2022. The Chancellor, crafted with meticulous attention to detail, this cigar promises aficionados an unparalleled smoking experience, with a blend that balances complexity and smoothness. Every puff of the Chancellor delivers an unforgettable journey for the senses.” says Adrian Acosta, ADV’s top broker, and The Chancellor himself.

Originally, the Chancellor was supposed to debut in 2022 but got put on hold after the cigars, boxes, and bands burned  in the fire of September 2022. But, never doubt our ability to rise from the ashes! This year, at the PCA 2024 show we’ll be bringing the project back to life and showing that The Royal Return is not finished.

Asylum Cigars

C.L.E. Cigar Company to present the Asylum Serenity Now, Insanity Later line of cigars at the 2024 PCA. Asylum is recognized for its bold, edgy, and creative cigars blends. The Asylum Serenity Now, Insanity Later brand is composed of two different cigar blends. The two blends represent a “split screen” type of smoking experience.

The Asylum Serenity Now, Insanity Later cigars were blended by C.L.E. Cigar Company President Christian Eiroa. His inspiration was to create a brand that could provide a smooth and refined smoking experience (Serenity Now). The follow up would be an aggressive, complex, and bold cigar (Insanity Later).

Christian created the blends without the knowledge of Asylum Co-Founder Tom Lazuka. Christian wanted to create a brand in honour of their longstanding partnership. Christian and Tom are Ying and yang, so the Serenity Now, Insanity Later concept was a perfect representation of their relationship.

Tom Lazuka stated: “Originally, I wasn’t happy that Christian created this brand without consulting me, but I quickly came to understand the symbolism behind [the] brand and the blends are fantastic!

The Serenity Now blended with Honduran and South American tobacco and housed in a Connecticut wrapper.
The Insanity Later is a full-bodied blend with a proprietary blend for the binder and filler, housed in a Habano wrapper.

The Asylum Serenity Now, Insanity Later come in a 100-count custom acrylic display split between the two blends. Heavy investment went into bringing in new machinery to create these new display cases in-house at the C.L.E. Cigar Company in Danli, Honduras. This investment was made to better improve quality control and better keep up with customer demand.

Protocol Cigars

Protocol Cigars is proud and honoured to announce its long awaited fourth instalment in the Lawmen Series, The Protocol Phoebe Couzins. Mirroring prior instalments in the Lawmen Series, the Protocol Phoebe Couzins is being offered in both a natural and a maduro. The Lawmen Series continues to follow a more classic, traditional, refined, and regal appearance compared to the modern look of the core line. The Lawmen Series’s concept is to pay homage to prominent figures in the history of American Law Enforcement by using higher primings of tobacco and more elaborate packaging giving it a more sophisticated finish.

Phoebe Couzins was born in St. Luis, Missouri. She became the first woman in United States history to graduate from a law school, later she would become one of the first female lawyers in the United States. In 1887 Phoebe Couzins became the first female U.S. Marshal in the country. Couzins was very much a women’s right activist as well, she was a member of the St. Louis Woman Suffrage Association where she drew attention as a public speaker. Phoebe Couzins was a pioneer, opening the doors for women in law and in law enforcement. It is an honour to present this cigar to pay homage to her legacy, especially during Women’s History Month.

The Protocol Phoebe Couzins is presented in a 6×52 box pressed toro format and packaged in a 10 count box. It is produced at the San Lotano Factory in Ocotal, Nicaragua by AJ Fernandez. Production is still supervised under the watchful eye and tutelage of Erik Espinosa. The MSRP is $125.50 per box and $12.55 per single cigar. The cigar is ready to ship and was blended by Protocol, largely with the help of Espinosa’s master blender.

I am excited to see these cigars finally get released, I love the way both of these blends came together and are a nice addition to the Lawmen Series.” Added Hector Alfonso Sr. Espinosa’s Master Blender. Cubariqueño Cigar Company Founder, Juan Cancel closed “Like the Bass Reeves, we are proud to feature Phoebe Couzins as the newest addition to the Lawmen Series. It truly shows the diversity of law enforcement as a whole. Men and women from all races and ethnicities come together to serve the public at large.”

Espinosa Premium Cigars and Knuckle Sandwich Cigars are proud to announce the release of the Knuckle Sandwich “2024 Chef Special.” The new Chef Special will be showcased at the 2024 PCA in March 2024.

Said Erik Espinosa, “Back in 2022, we released the Chef Special Habano as the very first LE for Knuckle Sandwich Cigars, we followed that up in 2023 with the Chef Special Sumatra, both were fantastic, so it’s back again this year with a new blend, a new size and with a new wrapper, Connecticut Broadleaf.

Only 2,000 boxes of the Chef Special are being made and we will be taking pre-orders during the PCA, and shipping in late April 2024.

Every year we offer a new Chef Special, this year we took a break from the box-pressed Figurado and went with the oval soft press which has become, not only a favourite of mine, but with many Knuckle Sandwich smokers. This cigar will not disappoint!” said Hector Alfonso.

The cigar is a 6 x 54 Toro Oval, with Nicaraguan fillers and binder, and a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. The Chef’s Special will retail for $16 MSRP with the 10-count box at $160 MSRP. Founded by Omar, a former NASA analyst turned cigar aficionado, Fratello Cigars was launched in 2013 with a goal to redefine the cigar experience by blending tradition with modernity. Every retailer in the United States has patronage from every walk of life. We want to create and foster a sense of community and education with Concealed Carry Cigars, and we look forward to seeing everyone at PCA this year.” says de Frias.
