March 2024

In the last few days we highlighted a few new releases that will debut at the PCA Convention & Trade show, starting in a few hours. We have some more exciting news from a few cigar companies about upcoming releases

CLE Cigar Company

C.L.E. Cigar Company announces the showcasing of its annual PCA Exclusive blends. In what has become a yearly tradition Christian Eiroa and his team will present the 2024 PCA Exclusive blends for C.L.E. Cigars, Eiroa Cigars, and Asylum Cigars.

In Christian’s fourth instalment of the PCA exclusive cigars, he wanted to showcase the different wrappers by creating a unique and innovative 100 count Honey-Comb display.

These displays will not only be useful for the PCA exclusives but can remain in the stores as a permanent display for future CLE, EIROA or Asylum Cigars. The blends were each created using tobacco from C.L.E. Cigar Company’s farm in South America. The proprietary binder and filler of each blend was blended by Christian Eiroa. Each brand will feature a different wrapper.

Christian Eiroa President and Founder of C.L.E. Cigar Company stated: “We are slowly rolling out this tobacco from our South American farm. Last years’ PCA exclusives used tobacco from that farm, and it was well received. The tobacco has now gone through another year of aging, so the smoker can expect a more refined smoking experience. I am also excited to share this new and attractive box , which will house one hundred cigars.

Casa Carrillo

E.P. Carrillo unveils its latest cigar blend, the E.P. Carrillo Sumatra, with a refined yet approachable profile that offers the perfect medium-bodied, full-flavored experience.

Introducing the newest addition to E.P. Carrillo’s portfolio, this blend is designed for everyday smokers who seek the brand’s pristine quality and complexity in a new format. The E.P. Carrillo Sumatra, released in three sizes – Robusto (5×50), Toro (6×52), and Gordo (6×60) – features an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper on top of a double binder from Nicaragua and Honduras, with fillers from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. E.P. Carrillo returns to a traditional round press, contrasting with the acclaimed Perez-Carrillo series, which are exclusively box-pressed.

The E.P. Carrillo Sumatra offers a unique experience, providing the same exceptional quality, now more accessible than ever. The MSRP for the Sumatra will range from $9.25 for a Robusto, $10 for a Toro, to $10.75 for a Gordo, each in a 24 ct. box.

The E.P. Carrillo Sumatra makes its debut at the 2024 PCA trade show in Las Vegas this weekend with pre-orders beginning at the show. Shipping begins in late May to retailers.

The company aims to launch six blends within the next two to three years, each distinguished by their unique and notable wrappers. In the second half of 2024, E.P. Carrillo will release the Honduras and Maduro varieties. This will be followed by the introduction of the Connecticut, Nicaragua, and Cameroon blends in the subsequent years.

The packaging is designed to modernize and simplify the shopping experience for consumers. With its inviting and modern look, the Sumatra aims to put E.P. Carrillo at the forefront, keeping it simple and eye-catching on the shelves.

We intend to incorporate a series of educational materials to teach our smokers about each wrapper in this series we are calling our Essence Series, where the focus is all about the wrapper,” said Lissette Perez-Carrillo.
