Renowned cigar maker and brand owner Dr. Gaby Kafie, a distinguished figure in the premium cigar industry, is pleased to announce the upcoming launch of the Kafie 1901 10th Anniversary Sampler. This sampler serves as a tribute to a decade of steadfast commitment to the artistry of crafting exceptional cigars.

The journey of Dr. Kafie began in 2013, as he collaborated with the esteemed heirs of Rolando Reyes Sr. at Tabacalera Puros Aliados, renowned for Cuba Aliados, Puros Indios, and Cienfuegos Cigars. Under the mentorship of Reyes, hailed as the foremost tobacco technician by Cigar Aficionado in the 1990s, Dr. Kafie refined his skills and later established Tabacalera G. Kafie y Cia. (2016-2021) in Danli, Honduras, where he crafted remarkable blends for his own brands and others.

In the face of adversity stemming from the 2021 pandemic and hurricanes devastating Honduras, Dr. Kafie demonstrated resilience by relocating production to Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. There, he collaborated with La Aurora Cigars Factory to realize a dream blend, resulting in the highly acclaimed Dominican Puro featuring tobaccos from the Cibao Valley, known as the Serie L Natural. This blend garnered nominations by Cigar Journal Magazine for Best Boutique Cigar Brand and Best Value Cigar for the Dominican Republic.

Scheduled for release in early 2024, the 10th Anniversary Sampler encapsulates a decade of passion and perseverance. Encased in an exquisite silver box adorned with captivating artwork depicting the history of Dr. Kafie’s grandparents, the sampler pays homage to the rich legacy of the Kafie family in Central America. All blends within the sampler are meticulously handcrafted at La Aurora Cigars Factory.
The 10th Anniversary Sampler stands as a testament to Dr. Kafie’s dedication to small-batch quality and consistency. This limited offering underscores Kafie’s commitment to ensuring each release meets the highest standards. “Our focus is on collaborating with the finest teams, utilizing the finest tobacco, and maintaining quality craftsmanship,” states Kafie.

These samplers will be presented as a set of 5 in a special display adorned with artwork representing each blend and showcasing special nominations from Cigar Journal Magazine over the years. The display will accommodate a total of 25 cigars. While the MSRP pricing has not been established, it is expected to range between $57.00 and $59.00 per sampler, with an average price of approximately $12.00 per cigar, offering exceptional value for such high-quality tobaccos.
