NewsPunch ‘Dad’s Home Movies’ Cigars Bring Nostalgia to Father’s Day
Author: Inspector X
Long before the era of streaming services offered instant movie gratification, households relied on DVDs, Blu-ray discs, and even further back, the trusty video tapes. As nostalgia beckons, General Cigar Co. pays homage to this bygone era with its latest Punch release, aptly named Punch “Dad’s Home Movies,” just in time for Father’s Day. Encased in a box resembling a pair of vintage VHS cassettes complete with sleeves, these cigars evoke memories of simpler cinematic times.
John Hakim, Punch brand manager, underscores the significance of this release, building upon the success of last year’s Punch Dad Bod. He emphasizes the multifaceted purpose of the new release, stating, “It lets the dad in your life know how much you care, opens the door for you to rib him for being old and gives you a chance to enjoy a great Punch cigar with him while he reminisces about the good old days.”
Punch “Dad’s Home Movies” debuts in a singular size, a box-pressed Toro measuring 6 inches by 50 ring gauge. Encased in 10-count boxes, each cigar boasts an Ecuador Habano wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and a filler blend sourced from three regions in Nicaragua: Condega, Estelí, and Ometepe. Crafted at the HATSA factory in Honduras, these cigars retail for a modest $7.49 each.
Unlike the fate of video cassette rentals, these limited-edition cigars offer a lasting indulgence, with no need to return them to Blockbuster. Shipping commenced recently, allowing aficionados to savour the essence of nostalgia while enjoying the timeless pleasure of a well-crafted Punch cigar. With its charming packaging and quality craftsmanship, Punch “Dad’s Home Movies” promises to be a delightful addition to Father’s Day celebrations, providing an opportunity to bond over shared memories and premium cigars.
