Habanos celebrated its 24th festival this year, and the highlight of the event was the gala dinner on the Friday of that week. With it being the 55th anniversary of Trinidad, this gala dinner specifically celebrated Trinidad cigars and featured a re-release of the much-loved Trinidad Robusto Extra cigar.

In a recent video, our Habanos Festival continues and concludes at the Gala Dinner in Cuba. The Gala dinner itself featured a whole series of incredible musicians and dancers to serenade the guests while they enjoyed food, drink, and, of course, Trinidad Cigars. The cigars for the evening were all Trinidad, starting off the evening with the Trinidad Coloniales. This quickly led into the Trinidad Esmeralda and, for the main course, it was, of course, the Trinidad Robusto Extra. The dinner finished with dessert and a Trinidad Fundadores, after which guests were able to focus on the auction for the evening.

This year, the auction featured 7 lots as opposed to the 6 lots of the previous year and generated a record-breaking €17.8 million, compared to the previous record of last year, which was €11.22 million. The surprise for this year was that President of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel announced he would sign the Cohiba humidor after the auction.

Overall, it was a great evening spent with friends and colleagues and truly an experience of a lifetime. Check out the video linked above to see the Gala for yourself.
