Fratello Cigars, under the dynamic leadership of Omar de Frias, is thrilled to announce its historic involvement in a groundbreaking mission alongside Intuitive Machines and NASA. In a trailblazing move, Fratello Cigars is set to become the first cigar company to have its logo journey to the moon.

This remarkable achievement is made possible through the upcoming Intuitive Machines’ IM-1 mission, a mission that carries immense significance as it signifies the first commercial lunar landing and the initial United States spacecraft landing on the moon since Apollo 17 in 1972. The momentous launch is scheduled for November 16th at Cape Canaveral, Florida. At the helm of this pioneering mission is the Nova-C, a spacecraft that is poised to drive the development of a thriving commercial lunar economy. It is set to facilitate the delivery of both commercial and NASA payloads, thereby laying the foundation for sustainable human lunar expeditions.

The Lunar Cigar project, born out of a collaborative effort between Omar de Frias and Steve Altemus, former NASA Deputy Center Director for Johnson Space Center and the founder, president, and CEO of Intuitive Machines, stands as a tribute to NASA’s historic lunar landing mission. This mission, set to capture the imagination of enthusiasts worldwide, carries with it a sense of nostalgia, invoking memories of a monumental era of human space exploration.

The Lunar collection, a collection with immense historical and cultural significance, comprises three exclusive cigar blends. Each of these blends is meticulously crafted as a limited edition at the renowned La Aurora Cigar Factory, symbolizing the fusion of craftsmanship and innovation. This project is more than just a journey to the moon; it’s a testament to the boundless creativity and collaboration that can emerge when visionaries from different domains unite in the pursuit of a shared dream.

The Lunar Connecticut boasts an Ecuadorian Connecticut shade wrapper, a Mexican binder, and fillers sourced from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and Cameroon-seed tobacco cultivated in Cameroon.

The Lunar Cameroon features an Ecuadorian Cameroon wrapper, a Dominican binder, and a blend of fillers from Nicaragua and the United States.

These limited-edition cigars are available in a 6 x 50 toro vitola.

“The Nova-C mission is set to be an historic and unforgettable journey to the Moon, and the Lunar cigars are a tribute to the spirit of exploration and innovation that fuels such extraordinary endeavors. The entire world eagerly awaits this exciting mission set to redefine the limits of what is possible.” According to De Frias.
