RoMa Craft cigars are well known for their strength and interesting vitolas. Neanderthal is one of their mildest ( if you can say that 😊) lines. HN stands for Homo Neanderthalensis and is a full body cigar in unique perfecto/pita vitola.
Appearance: Rating: ★★★★★
I am huge fan of those simply looking cigars, the band is very full of details and small prints and the vitola obviously is eye catching
Construction: Rating: ★★★★
Usually that type flat cap I would recommend to be punch cut, but I decided to use straight cut.
At the beginning the draw was a little bit tight. Plenty of smoke on the other side.
Flavour: Rating: ★★★★
Cold draw have flavours of Beef jerky and caramel
First third begins somewhat different mix of cinnamon and manure, retrohale bring a lot of meatiness
Much cleaner in the second part, more flavours appear. Very noticeable sweetness, but the main flavour is earth, behind is a distinct espresso and grassiness on retro.
The final third is very unusual also, I pick cinnamon and earthiness but the retro is like from different cigar – nuttiness, mushrooms and pepper
Value: Rating: ★★★
That is one of the slightly more expensive RomaCraft and probably wouldn’t mind paying less for that .
Overall Rating: Rating: ★★★★
I like the look of the perfecto, but usually they have a lot of problems when you smoke them. Not in this case; perfect burn and ash. Very enjoyable smoke.
