Released in 2021 to commemorate 10y anniversary from the release of the original Undercrown.
Appearance: Rating: ★★★★★
Very typical dark San Andres colour on the wrapper, nice dark almost black earthy look, plenty veins and good teeth. The band is outstanding with nice touch up messages at the back .
Construction: Rating: ★★★★
Firm roll, triple cap is a nice execution. Stlight corrections needed.
Flavour: Rating: ★★★★
Cold draw shares notes of citrus and earth.
First puffs are a bit harsh, retrohale offering a good amount of leather. Around the one inch mark cigar is very minerally.
At the start of the second third I get some pizza crust, there is also rye whisky, then transition into spicy and sweet gingerbread.
At the beginning of the final third start with a lot of sweetness, overall toastiness with a lot of white pepper. On the nose pick some absinth and anise.
Value: Rating: ★★★★
Those are available in the UK with a price tag of £22.
Overall Rating: Rating: ★★★★
Tasty and very slow burning cigar. Less strong than the standard Undercrown. Typical in Drew Estate standard cigars, can be easily paired with strong rum or lightly peated whisky.
