I have had several of the Diesel Shorty before. The Shorty is just another size in this line. The Diesel Unholy line consists of the Shorty and this, the Unholy Cocktail. This line is easily one of my favorite.

    Appearance / Construction : [rating:4/5]
This cigar is wrapped in a beautiful Pennsylvania Broadleaf Maduro leaf with no veins that could possibly alter the burn pattern. The stick is very solid which leads it to burn fairly slow. The cap is attached perfectly so when it’s cut, no tobacco falls off. The cigar itself has a very nice scent coming off of it, sweet yet spicy.

    Flavor : [rating:4.5/5]
This cigar has a complex flavor combination. The initial flavors tend to be very spicy with subtle earthy undertones. Then the flavor develops into cinnamon and chocolate. These combine to make a delicious sweet and spicy relationship. Around the midpoint of the cigar the chocolate taste transforms into a coffee flavor. Down towards the end, I started getting little notes of charred wood. Around the last inch and a half, the sweetness dulls down quite a bit and gives way to the earthy spice.

    Value : [rating:5/5]
You can’t beat this stick for the price. This line is my go-to. For under $5 a stick, I feel they are a wonderful bang for your buck. I personally have not had a cigar before these that only cost $4.50 that packed a punch like these.

    Overall Rating : [rating:4.5/5]
I highly recommend this cigar. I can guarantee you will love this cigar if you are a fan of medium to full bodied smokes. The flavors are so complex that you really can’t beat it. The ash was amazingly strong and literally held on until I put the stick down at the end. The smoke is thick and creamy, and leaves a wonderful flavor on the palate. The aroma was quite amazing as well. I could smell the subtle flavors in the smoke. This cigar is definitely one I think everyone should try, at least once.

Never had one of these before but I’m becoming a bigger and bigger sucker for Nicaraguan sticks so ordered three of these as part of a sampler.I committed the cardinal sin of smoking one upon their arrival from Florida (I’m in The UK) but it’s been a tough day at work and I though “what the hell”!

Great looking cigar, impeccable construction.Starting out with a unique tasting, subtle chocolatey pepper,if that doesn’t sound too crazy.I’m wondering what influence the Pennsylvania wrapper might be having here.Great aroma coming off the foot, again something about it that I;ve never quite experienced in any other cigar. Here’s something else new to me about an inch down,a very pronounced saltiness.Right on medium bodied,no strength kick.Salty quality didn’t last long,it’s taken on a sweeter quality now with a very subtle spice….still a great aroma!!

Picking up in strength around the halfway point, unsurprisingly.Chocolate type flavours re-emerging with a fairly long and spicy finish.A bit of red bell pepper in there too.,I think.

Well,is it box worthy? I don’t know to be honest,I need to let the others in the sampler take their due rest and then we’ll see,A decent, solid smoke though.

Great review – love that pic, too! I didn’t think I would like these cigars, until a BOTL gifted me one to try. Now I love em!
