    Appearance: Rating: ★★★★★

Casa Turrent 1880 Claro Lancero is covered in a nice brown coloured wrapper that has a bit of tooth and veins, but very few signs of oil. Lancero looks very elegant with this interesting and nice-looking band. Cigar is nice and spongy when squeezed Wrapper have an interesting smell of barnyard and earth

    Construction: Rating: ★★★★+

Overall, very good construction with a small touch up once. Ash can’t be kept for long. Plenty of nice aromatic and dense smoke production. Draw is good as ever, just excellent.

    Flavour: Rating: ★★★★★

Cold draws bring strong flavour of bread and candied pecans.

The first few puffs start exactly where the cold draw was – very powerful sweet, candied pecans and dominant cinnamon. Little spiciness on retro and pleasant cocoa nibs.

Around halfway the cigar changes drastically, and the flavour completely moves towards creamy cedar with dark chocolate aftertaste in the mouth. There is a slight note of flowers. Retro brings a lot of hay.

Last part of the cigar again changes towards the first part with a lot of dominant cinnamon, the creamy cedar is still here but slightly on the second plan. Dark chocolate still appears from time to time and there are new flavour combination of dough and earth. Retro bring tons of espresso beans at the very last few puffs

    Value: Rating: ★★★★★

Price of that cigar in the UK is £16.49 which for a lancero is an absolute bargain.

    Overall Rating: Rating: ★★★★½ (4.5)

The look of the cigar is outstanding, a nice combination with the band, which is made from very thick paper and looks quite luxurious with a distinct combination of flavours like cinnamon, pecans, cocoa. Overall perfect construction. When I tried the cold draw, I was already sure it would be a very interesting and fun experience. In the past I was not the biggest Claro wrapped cigars fan, but that was one of the best examples I have smoked recently.
