    Arturo Fuente 8-5-8
    Arturo Fuente
    Origin : Dominican Republic
    Format : Robusto/Toro
    Size : 152 x 19.84 mm
    Ring : 47
    Weight : N/A
    Price : ~$120 for a box of 25

8/5/8 is a dark beauty. With a soft and pleasant flavor, the Fuente is more than satisfying.

    Appearance : [rating:4.5/5]
With a dark and grooved wrapper, 8/5/8 is perfectly filled – no soft spots were found.

    Construction : [rating:4.5/5]
The draw was OK, I also noticed good burning qualities. Unlit, there was a light smell of humus. Rich clouds of soft smoke when I lit it up.

    Flavor : [rating:4.5/5]
A little bitter in the beginning, the Arturo Fuente 8-5-8 rapidly develops mocha notes, which become richer and richer along with some woody hints, especially in the second third. These were the only flavors that I noticed, the bitterness reappears in the last third.

    Value : [rating:4/5]
Could probably be less expensive 🙂

    Overall Rating : [rating:overall/5]
I found this cigar a little monotonous, although it was a pretty good experience overall.

Man, i just tried one of these about an hour ago and it tasted like dirt, literally. about the worst cigar I’ve had to date. Not sure if i need to dry box it and let it age a while but after this experience I wouldn’t smoke one if it was given to me for free.

This is a great cigar and every time I read a review about them I get the idea of getting a box of them and can’t find them at the price I want. Sounds like a life long problem,,so many deals so little time.

I loved those cigars long time ago… I’ll recomend it for beginners. But my palate have become more complex, and usually dont enjoy them so much. I recomend to try the 858 sun grown and maduro too.

These are a decent smoke, and one I like to bring to a herf if only to have something mild, but tasty, for a newbie. They’re a much cheaper starter cigar than Macanudo.

I also keep a small humi at the office for lunchtime getaways. I don’t keep anything that I’d cry over if they disappeared, so the Flor Fina and Chateau maddies frequently end up at the office.

The maduro is best. When I walk into one of my local cigar shops chances are I’m walking out with one of these.

This is a good consistent cigar. This is one of the few fuente cigars that I prefer the maduro variety.

Enjoyed a couple of those when I was on holidays in the Dominican Republic. That’s the most famous Dominican brand, that’s for sure.
