Weekly news week 53 2020. There are many Facebook groups about cigars. And in almost every group, there are questions with a negative undertone. Instead of asking for good cigars, the question “what is the worst cigar you smoked?” Or “what brand you hate” pop up every now and then. Let’s all stop that in 2021. There is enough negativity in the world. Instead, ask “what is the best cigar you smoked” and “what brand do you love”. Philip and Ferdy did a Christmas episode with the Royal Danish Weihnachten Leckerbissen cigar.

Reviews and news

The reviews this week come from the Dominican Republic and Cuba. The last cigar of the year is a Davidoff tester, which turns out to be the Diadema for the 50th-anniversary jars. But that is knowledge gained after reviewing the cigar. The first cigar of 2021 is a Cuban one. The 2016 Edicion Limitada from Montecristo. The Montecristo Dantes.

In the final week of the year, not a lot of news is happening. AGANORSA Leaf is announcing a new box-pressed Corona Gorda for the AGANORSA Leaf Supreme Leaf line. And the Nicaraguan cigar manufacturer is releasing a brand new Rare Leaf Reserve line in three sizes. Davidoff is releasing a Year of the Ox pipe and a Year of the Ox humidor. Dr. Gaby Kafie steps down as chairman of the BCA. And the association changes its status from a non-profit to a social media platform. ACE Prime is now available in Brazil as well.
