Weekly news week 22 2020. The biggest news this week is no doubt that the world’s largest tobacco tradeshow is canceled. A question we asked last Sunday as well, answered Thursday. Intertabac, the annual trade show in Germany, was scheduled for the 3rd week of September. But it’s canceled, and will now be held from September 16-18 2021. Instead of the regular Friday to Sunday show, it will take place from Thursday to Saturday. A small improvement, yet a lot of people from the industry prefer a trade show in the spring. And the latest Philip & Ferdi Cigar Show was broadcasted.

Reviews

As usual, two reviews were published. The first review this week is a cigar hailing from the Joya de Nicaragua factory. It’s the Charatan Colina, a limited production cigar for the British cigar distributor Tor Imports. The second cigar reviewed is the Drew Estate Undercrown Dogma.

Ministry of Cigars - Weekly news week 22

Canada, Israel, and Norway

Canada used to be home to four La Casa del Habano stores. Two of them closed in the recent past, with one in Windsor, Ontario closed for renovations after a fire since 2017. And now the last location, in Toronto, is closing the doors too. Condega Cigars, the Spanish owned Nicaraguan cigars that are taking over the world in a storm, is now available in Israel. Norwegian cigar aficionados can expect a few new brands and blends at local tobacconists soon. Cavelier of Geneve and La Galera are new brands on the Norwegian market. But there are also new Fratello cigars and new RoMa Craft cigars available.

Nuggs, Zoom, and more

100 boxes of Jas Sum Kral Nuggs made it to Australia. Fifty of each blend, the Habano version with 20mg CBD, and the Maduro with 100mg CBD. We were guest at the Zoom gathering of DH Boutique Cigars. Plus we were asked to be part of the jury of DH Boutique Cigars contest. Camacho is releasing the Camacho Liberty 2020 globally. Royal Danish Cigars is forced to change its name and is now known as King of Ashes, House of Nicaragua. Plus we posted a list of cigar birthdays in June.
