Viva la Vida goes international
Viva la Vida goes international. A.J. Fernandez International is the distributor for the brand from Artesano del Tabacco. Viva La Vida is the latest offering to the network of importers working with Tabacalera A.J. Fernandez. Recently Fernandez added the Aging Room Quatro Nicaragua to its international portfolio. Both brands are not owned by Tabacalera A.J. Fernandez but Fernandez is producing the cigars for Artesano del Tabacco and Altadis.
Viva La Vida
Viva La Vida is the debut brand of Artesano Del Tobacco and is only available since march of 2019. The brothers’ Billy and Gus Fakih are the founders. Both are no newcomers in the cigar industry. Up until 2015, the brothers ran two retail locations in New York under the name Cigar Inn. After twenty years, Altadis USA acquired both retail locations. The launch of Viva La Vida is the glorious return of the Fakih brothers in the cigar industry. And now Viva La Vida goes international to celebrate life.
A.J. Fernandez is not only responsible for producing the cigars. All the tobaccos used in Viva La Vida come from his Nicaraguan farms. The cigars feature a Habano Oscuro 2000 wrapper. The binder is Corojo 99. Criollo 98 makes the filler. This results in a medium to full blend.
The Viva La Vida cigars are available in five vitolas for the international markets. Those are a 5×54 Robusto and a 6×54 Toro. These two sizes come in boxes of 20 cigars. The 6 ½ x52 Diadema, 7×38 Lancero, and 6×60 Gordo called Club 500 all come in boxes of 10.
A.J. Fernandez’s launch of these cigars will add a welcome dimension to our international portfolio and complete the lineup of new cigars in 2020. The VLV cigars will be available from the end of October and will be a permanent addition to the portfolio,” says Steve Krohn International Sales Director at AJF Cigars.
