Virtual cigar events in the UK. Two retailers in the United Kingdom are very active with online cigar events. The Glasgow based tobacconist and liquor retailer Robert Graham 1874 and the British cigar mogul C.Gars Ltd are doing their best to entertain the local cigar aficionados during the global pandemic. They do that with virtual cigar tastings and special guests during Zoom gatherings.

In the last months, Robert Graham 1874 hosted several pairings and tastings through the online platform Zoom. The pairings are always a cigar with a dram of a matching whisky. A ‘tasting package’ is ordered through the Robert Graham 1874 website and is shipped to the participants including a Zoom code and password. The upcoming pairing is on July 2nd from 7 PM till 8:30 PM. The cigar for this edition is the La Flor Dominicana Nox, a Dominican powerhouse. It will be paired with two different Dalmore whiskies. The Dalmore 12-year-old, and the Dalmore Cigar Malt. The pairing will be hosted by author Nick Hammond. Special guests will be Litto & Tony Gomez from La Flor Dominicana. Dalmore is represented by the global malt whisky specialist Stephen Martin. Scott Vines from Tor Imports is the final special guest.

 C.Gars Ltd

Cigar mogul C.Gars Ltd hosts multiple tastings per month. On June 18th, Jonathan Drew from Drew Estate will log on to the virtual herf from C.Gars Ltd. The cigars smoked in this session are three blends from the Undercrown series. The original Maduro, the Shade, and the Sun Grown.

June 25th is AVO day. That evening is dedicated to Avo Uvezian and two of the cigars bearing his name. The limited-edition Improvisation for 2019 and 2020. Improvisation was very important for the jazz musician/cigar maker.

On July 2nd, Camacho is the brand picked to be highlighted. A gift set with three different vitolas of the Camacho Nicaragua Barrel-Aged is your entry ticket to the Zoom session. The three sizes are robusto, toro, and Gordo. The tobacco for this blend is aged in barrels used to make the best Nicaraguan rum.

On July 9th, no other than Christian Eiroa and Tom Lazuka will join the virtual herf. They will talk about the Asylum 13 Robusto and the Eiroa first 20 years robusto and the Eiroa first 20 years Colorado robusto.

On June 16th, it’s Alec Bradley time. With Alec & Bradley Rubin as guests, participants will smoke three Alec Bradley cigars. Those are Black Market Esteli Robusto, Black Market Robusto, and the Lineage Robusto.
