Robert Caldwell’s collaboration with Matt Booth (Room 101) and A.J. Fernandez is coming to The Netherlands. The cigars are called The T, and surprisingly enough it’s not Caldwell’s distributor Cigar Agent, but A.J. Fernandez distributor Longfiller Company that will be responsible for bringing the cigars to The Netherlands.

The T is a collaboration in a line of collaborations that Caldwell did. He worked with Jonathan Drew and Willy Herrera on the All out kings, with E.P. Carrillo on the Anastasia, and before with Matt Booth and William Ventura on the Hit & Run cigars. None of those blends made it to Europe though. The T will.

The T was originally called The Truth, but since Tatuaje has the trademark for “La Verite”, the French translation of The Truth, the trio opted for just ‘The T’. The name is too short to be trademarked though and therefore isn’t protected by law.

The cigars are made in Esteli, at the factory of A.J. Fernandez and they come in two lines. The Original T, a Nicaraguan puro with a Habano wrapper. The cigar comes in lonsdale (6½x44), robusto (5×52), short Chuchill (5½x48), toro (6×52) and toro grande (6½x56). Then there is also The T Connecticut, with a blend of Nicaraguan tobaccos and an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper. The T Connecticut is also made at Tabacalera Fernandez. It comes in a 6×44 corona, 5½x54 double robusto, 4×48 short robusto and 6×50 toro.

Our sources told us that all the vitolas are coming to The Netherlands. Longfiller Company is the distributor company of Sasja van Horssen, who owns Cigaragua in Amsterdam, so we are sure that the cigars will be for sale there. If they are a store exclusive release for The Netherlands or if they are available to other shops is still unknown to us. We will report back once we have that information and we have the prices.
