The Bolivar Regentes Edición Limitada 2021 Takes Center Stage in London
Not captivated by the allure of Big Ben and Parliament? How about turning your attention to the unveiling of the new Bolivar Regentes Edición Limitada 2021 in London?
Delayed by over two years, the third and final Cuban Edición Limitada for 2021 is set to make its debut next month. On February 7, the Bolivar Regentes will be presented at a global premiere hosted at Boisdale of Canary Wharf. This event, organized by Habanos S.A. in collaboration with U.K. Habanos distributor Hunters & Frankau Ltd., promises an exclusive introduction to cigar enthusiasts.
Measuring 5 1/8 inches by 52 ring gauge, known as Discretos in Cuban cigar factories, the Bolivar Regentes comes in darkly painted, slide-lid boxes of 25. The United Kingdom will have the privilege of being the first market to experience these cigars, with other countries slated to follow suit throughout the year. While specific details regarding the global release schedule and pricing remain undisclosed, it is anticipated that the Bolivar Regentes will gradually reach markets worldwide over the course of this year.
Habanos has faced challenges for years in delivering its cigars punctually to the market. The traditional timeline of announcing Edición Limitadas early in the year and shipping them to retail by fall has undergone a significant shift. The Cohiba 55 Aniversario Edición Limitada 2021, for instance, debuted a year late in 2022. Last year witnessed the launch of the Hoyo de Monterrey Monterreyes No. 4 Edición Limitada 2021 in Bulgaria before its global release. This year, the Bolivar is slated to be the latest addition to this trend.
No Signs of 2022 & 2023 Limitadas
As of now, there has been no official announcement from Habanos regarding Edición Limitadas for 2022 or 2023.
True to their name, Edición Limitadas are exclusive Cuban cigars released annually by Habanos, featuring unique sizes and darker-than-normal wrappers. Typically, three are released each year, though the number has varied, ranging from as many as five in 2003 to as few as one in 2020 since the program’s inception in 2000.
