Southern Draw is coming to Australia. The online retailer Hecho a Mano is the distributor for the boutique cigar brand. Southern Draw is proud to represent southern hospitality and is also veteran-owned and operated. Founder Robert Holt is from the south of the United States and a former member of the US Armed Forces. Both cultures are about honor, and he is implementing that code of honor in his cigars.

“Hecho A Mano is very excited to be working with Southern Draw Cigars and we are happy to be able to bring another premium boutique cigar brand to the Australian market,” says Ry LeFevre, CEO of Hecho A Mano. It is not the first brand that Hecho a Mano is importing exclusively. Late last year, Hecho a Mano and Casa Cuevas partnered up to supply Australian cigar smokers with Casa Cuevas cigars as well.

Core lines

The core lines of Southern Draw are making it to the country with the highest tobacco tax in the world. These include the popular Rose of Sharon, Jacobs Ladder, Cedrus, Kudzu, Firethorn, and Desert Rose. Other lines will follow soon. Hecho a Mano owner Ry LeFevre had his eyes on Southern Draw since he was introduced to the brand on a trip to the United States in the pre-covid era. He loves the focus on consistency, sustainability, the small batches, and the focus of Southern Draw. He believes that the values of Robert Holt and his partners match his, and show appreciation for the culture of cigars.

LeFevre says “We will have a healthy stock of Lanceros, Robustos, and a few other vitolas from each line to begin with and will look to expand each line based on feedback from customers. We will also increase the range to include the Quick Draw and 300 Hands line. The 300 Hands lines see a portion of every sale donated to Nicaragua making it a great cigar to support.” He expects that the Australian cigar enthusiasts will fall in love with the cigars and the story behind Southern Draw.
