Soil to Soul Episode Four. For the last few months, us and friends have been hosting a Facebook Live called Soil to Soul. Now, this is purely for fun and we do the Facebook live shows quite irregularly.

Episode Four

Singaporean brother of the leaf Simon Tan, an avid fan of Cuban cigars, hosted a private event at Mel’s Place. A group of Singaporean cigar aficionados came together at the beautiful outdoor terrace to smoke three cigars. But the catch was three cigars without the rings. All rings had been replaced by a simple white ring with a letter. Cigar A, Cigar B, and Cigar C. Only after smoking and rating all three cigars it would be revealed which cigars had been smoked.

The cigars were a mix of Cuban, Dominican and Nicaraguan cigars. The Cuban cigars was a Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure 2, the Dominican cigar was a Flores y Rodriguez Wide Churchill. The Jas Sum Kral Toothpick Habano was the cigar from Nicaragua. We wrote about the private blind smoke as well.

On camera, Tan and host Philip Phajan talk about the event, cigars and more. The video was shot before the event and during the early stages of the blind tasting.
