Sinistro Cigars is releasing the Mr. Desflorado, a new regular production line with a Connecticut-seed desflorado wrapper from an undisclosed country. The binder is African Cameroon over fillers from Nicaragua, Colombia and the Dominican Republic. James Agopian of Sinistro is responsible for the blend, Tabacalera El Artista makes the cigars for Sinistro.

“The Connecticut desflorado wrapper involves a precise rare procedure implemented during the cultivation phase of the tobacco plant,” the company wrote in a press release. “In this distinctive process, the uppermost pink flowers of the plant are deliberately removed prior to seed formation. The outcome of this technique is twofold: it deepens the shade of the leaf’s hue and imbues it with a significantly sweeter taste profile. Complementing this wrapper is the infusion of an African Cameroon wrapper along with carefully selected fillers sourced from Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, and Colombia. This harmonious combination of elements results in a symphony of flavours that tantalises the palate.”

The line starts with a 5×52 Robusto and a 6×54 Toro but Sinistro is planning line-extensions in other sizes. It’s the ninth release in the Mr. Series.
