Last year, Sinistro joined a few other brands that “discover” lost batches of cigars from several factories. We don’t believe that marketing hype, it’s hard to believe that factories lose so many batches of cigars. And Sinistro came to the conclusion that saying these are lost and found blends wasn’t believable anymore. They now admit all the blends are new.

Sinistro is releasing five more blends in their La Fabrica series. All five of the cigars were blended by James Agopian of Sinistro Cigars and produced at Tabacalera El Artista in the Dominican Republic. Al five are new blends, but not all names are new. All five lines come in a 5×52 Robusto and 6×50 Toro, all limited to 1500 cigars each.

The first blend is No Entiendo which uses a Pennsylvania broadleaf wrapper over a negrito binder and fillers that contains piloto cubano and corojo ligero from an undisclosed country, as well as tobaccos from Nicaragua and Pennsylvania.

Then there is the Love Child with a criollo 98 wrapper, while the binder comes from Cameroon and the filler includes piloto cubano, olor and corojo, along with tobacco grown in Pennsylvania.

The Butcher has an Ecuadorian habano wrapper, an Indonesian binder, and Nicaraguan filler and some undisclosed Olor.  Last year The Butcher came from  Tabacalera Mi Terruno in Tamboril, Dominican Republic but now from Tabacalera El Artista.

Thick as Thieves also uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper. The binder is Mexican San Andres while the filler features criollo 98, corojo and olor of undisclosed origin, along with leaves from Pennsylvania and Nicaragua.

The last blend is the Morisoñando with a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over a Criollo 98 binder. The filler contains of criollo 98, corojo and olor, alongside Pennsylvanian and Nicaraguan tobacco

“The La Fabrica series was created as a way to help sustain us through the COVID pandemic,” says Coleman Fine, co-owner of Sinistro Cigars. “There was a major shortage of workers at the factories we use, disrupting production of our core line brands. At that time, a few of the La Fabrica releases were new blends, such as the original release of The Butcher. Going forward, Sinistro will be blending all new brands in the La Fabrica series. These five new brands are completely new blends that James Agopian worked on during his 8 month stay in the Dominican Republic. The Butcher is a completely different blend from the original version, same with No Entiendo and Love Child.”
