Schröder Tabak in Oberhausen forced to close af 30 years
November 2018
Monday is the last day that cigar aficionado’s from Oberhausen in Germany can visit Schröders Tabakwaren at the Hauptbahnhof in the city. After exactly thirty years of doing business the German railway company Deutsche Bahn, the landlord of Schöder Tabakwaren, has terminated the contract.
So no more Cuban, Nicaraguan, Dominican, Honduran, Ecuadorian or Costa Rican cigars available at the central station of the German city again. And Brigitte Schröder is not opening the shop on another location. At age 72 it’s time to enjoy a well reserved retirement. The only good news that Schröder had to tell was that all employees have found new employment, so nobody will be jobless.
