Sasja van Horssen, the man behind the Cigaragua flagship store in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and the publisher of the Cigaragua book, has plans for a second Cigaragua store in the epicentre of the Nicaraguan cigar industry, downtown Estelí near the cathedral and Hotel Los Arcos.

In 2015, during a trip in Nicaragua, Van Horssen kept wondering why there wasn’t a Nicaraguan version of the La Casa del Habano concept even though Nicaraguan cigars are far superior. So he created the concept and opened a highly successful store in Amsterdam. He has plans to open Cigaragua stores in many other countries, either under his ownership or via franchising. There are plans for Miami, Singapore, Antwerp, London and a few other countries. But last week, Van Horssen was back in Estelí and came up with the idea to open a Cigaragua store downtown Estelí.

Currently this idea is all in an investigating phase, will it be viable? The perfect location has already been found though and an artist rendering of how Cigaragua Estelí would look like has been made.
