Royal Agio Export Manager Marco van der Horst and Tor Imports owner Scott Vines launched the brand in Dartmoor and at a VIP event in Central London.
Tor Imports
Tor Imports is the leading distributor for Non-Cuban cigars in the United Kingdom. The company imports cigars from Nicaragua, Honduras, Dominican Republic, and Mexico. The association of independent tobacco specialist voted Tor Imports to the supplier of the year twice in the last three years.
The company is the distributing partner for A.J. Fernandez, Alec Bradley, Balmoral, Caldwell, Casa Turrent, Charatan, CLE, Condega, Drew Estate, Highclere Castle, Joya de Nicaragua, La Aurora, La Flor Dominicana, My Father Cigars, Oliva, Padron, Santa Clara, and Tatuaje. Next to premium cigars they also distribute machine made cigars as Clubmaster, Hofnar, Independence, and King Edward.
Royal Agio
Royal Agio cigars is a Dutch company, still family-owned after more than a century. The Wintermans family, who founded Agio in 1904, are still running the show with Boris Wintermans as CEO nowadays. Where they made a name with their machine-made cigars, the last few years the focus is more on the premium lines. The Balmoral Añejo line has received high ratings from all over the world.
We recently reviewed the Balmoral Añejo XO Gran Toro and the Balmoral Dueto Robusto. The Balmoral Dueto is a collaboration with Ernesto Perez Carrillo and not available on the European markets yet.
