Rocky Patel’s Tavicusa heading to The Netherlands
Author: Inspector Z
Tavicusa, that name might not ring a bell. It’s the name of the factory Rocky Patel owns in Esteli, Nicaragua with a partner. If you have been to Rocky Patel’s factory tour, you may have been there even though the tour focuses on his factory that he runs with the Plasencia family in Danli, Honduras.
In the ten years that Tavicusa is operating, more and more of the new cigars that are released by Patel are made in Esteli, instead of Danli. And Patel now even grows tobacco just a couple of minutes ride from the factory. Tavicusa is getting more and more important to the brand, and to honour that Rocky Patel Premium Cigars released a line baring the name Tavicusa.
The cigars are blended with Nicaraguan tobaccos from Esteli, Condega and Jalapa with a Mexican San Andres wrapper. There are only three vitolas made, a 6×60 sixty, a 6½x52 toro and a 5½x50 robusto. Now this isn’t ‘fresh’ news. But what is fresh is that the cigars will be available in Cigaragua, Amsterdam soon, and from there the cigars will be distributed all over The Netherlands.
