Ensure your passport is up to date, as registration for the 17th ProCigar Festival is now open. Held in the Dominican Republic from 16th to 21st February, attendees will enjoy six days of exploring the country’s rich cigar-making culture and meeting the individuals behind their favourite brands.

If you decide to attend, you’ll get an exclusive, behind-the-scenes experience over six immersive days. The festival begins in the coastal region of La Romana before moving to Santiago—the heart of cigar country—for the remainder of the event. Highlights include three days of tours through tobacco fields, visits to cigar factories, and nightly festivities, all while enjoying a variety of Dominican cigars.

This year’s festival comes with a notable change of venue. Previously, the Gran Almirante was the main hotel for ProCigar guests. However, the Residence Inn by Marriott will now serve as the primary lodging due to Santiago’s growth and its impact on transportation logistics for tours and activities.

For those looking for alternatives, two other hotel options are available: the new AC Marriott, located within walking distance of the White Party at Monumento de Los Heroes de La Restauración, and the Garden Court Hotel, which is near Santiago airport and has historically participated in the festival.

There’s an early-bird discount available for those who register before November.

For more details and to complete your registration, visit the official website at ProCigar.

Registration is open to consumers, retailers, press, and suppliers.
