Rafael Nodal has been promoted to Vice President product capability for Tabacalera USA. Previously Nodal was head of product capability and marketing for Altadis USA, a subsidiary of Tabacalera USA.

Altadis is the cigarmaking and distribution subsidiary of Tabacalera. Altadis makes brands such as the non-Cuban versions of Romeo y Julieta, Montecristo and H. Upmann. In his new role, Nodal will continue to support Altadis U.S.A., according to Javier Estades, president and chief executive officer of Tabacalera USA.

Nodal will now also be involved with the Casa de Montecristo cigar bars and the online retailer JR Cigars. The goal is to build Tabacalera’s proprietary portfolio of premium cigars in a new regulatory environment.

Besides his role at Tabacalera USA, Nodal has another job. He is one of the owners of Aging Room Cigars, a brand distributed by Altadis USA.
