Quesada comes with new cigars. Two new cigars to be precise and both will debut at the PCA Convention & Trade Show. This years’ show will take place in Las Vegas from July 10 to 13.

Oktoberfest

Ten years ago, the Quesada family released a cigar inspired by the famous Oktoberfest in Munchen, Germany. The cigar is a seasonal release and pairs well with the Marzen-style beer that is so popular during those massive beer festivals.

To celebrate 10 years of Quesada Oktoberfest there is a new blend. A blend made with consumer feedback in mind. It features a Mexican San Andres wrapper. The rest of the tobacco is all Dominican. The blend will be available in three sizes. A 5 ½ x52 Bavarian, a 6×52 Das Boot, and a 6×65 Uber.

We are more than excited to present this year’s Oktoberfest edition which in my opinion will be the best Oktoberfest cigar ever,” says Manuel “Manolo” Quesada Jr., president of Quesada Cigars, in a press release. “Feedback from customers attention to detail has brought us to this blend. It’s going to be great.”

The cigars come from the factory of the Quesada’s in the Dominican Republic, Quesada’s Tabacos de Exportación Inc. (TABADEX). In the past, most of the Quesada Oktoberfest were made there too. Although for some years and blends Quesada reached out to the Plasencia family in Nicaragua.

Quesada 1974

In 1974 Manuel ‘Manolo’ Quesada took his first steps in the tobacco industry. Two years ago, his 45th year in business was celebrated with the Quesada 1974 line. The name also refers to the year when the Quesada began family began manufacturing cigars. Manuel Quesada was the first Quesada to do that. The generations before him were tobacco brokers.

The cigars, made at Quesada’s Tabacos de Exportación Inc. (TABADEX) factory in the Dominican Republic, were available in four vitolas. And at the PCA Convention & Trade Show, a fifth vitola will join the others.

The new cigar, a 6×52 toro will join the Robusto, Short Robusto, Corona, and Lancero. The cigars are made with Dominican filler and binder. The wrapper is a Cameroon seed wrapper from Ecuador. The new Toro comes in boxes of 10 cigars.
