Plasencia adds robusto to Alma Fuerte. Plasencia shocked the market when they released their Alma Fuerte line. Not only was it a break from their tradition, as they liked to stay out of the spotlight before, but also it was a break from the budget-friendly cigars they quietly released before.

The line has been proven to be very successful. So successful that Plasencia is now adding a vitola to the lineup. The new Plasencia Alma Fuerte Robusto measures 5 1/4 x 52 and is made from the same blend. All the tobacco comes from the Plasencia farms in Jalapa, Condega, Ometepe, and Esteli. The cigars are made in Esteli too. It’s the expectation of Plasencia that the cigars will hit the international markets in the first quarter of 2019.

Plasencia Alma series

In total, Plasencia is planning five lines under the Alma series umbrella. The Plasencia Alma Fuerte is the first of the five blends that are coming. Plasencia Alma Fuerte is a unique blend of Plasencia’s best-aged tobaccos. All grown in their highest quality soil, accentuating their bold, vibrant, and intense flavors. Laced with hints of dark chocolate, plum, and cinnamon, the taste is rounded out with finishing notes of oak and molasses.

The Robusto is the fourth vitola in the line. The others are the 7×58 Salomon with the name Generacion V. That represents the fifth generation of Plasencia that is working in the family business now. The Nestor IV measures 6¼x54. And the Sixto II is a 6×60 Gordo aka Hexagono due to its shape.
