NewsPDR Cigars Marks 18 Years with Flores y Rodriguez 18th Anniversary Blend
Author: Inspector Y
PDR Cigars, in keeping with the tradition of commemorating milestones with special smokes, introduces the Flores y Rodriguez 18th Anniversary to mark brand owner Abe Flores’s impressive 18 years in the cigar business. This celebratory blend takes inspiration from PDR’s 10th Anniversary cigar but puts a unique spin on it.
The distinguishing factor in the 18th Anniversary blend is the substitution of the Ecuador Habano wrapper, a key element in the 10th Anniversary cigar, with a rich Ecuador Sumatra maduro leaf. According to Flores, this alteration not only amps up the strength of the cigar but also introduces a creamier, sweeter smoking experience. The internal composition remains consistent with the 10th Anniversary, featuring a Dominican Olor binder complemented by a filler blend of Dominican Piloto Cubano and Nicaraguan tobacco sourced from Jalapa.
The Flores y Rodriguez 18th Anniversary line boasts a variety of sizes to cater to diverse preferences: the Millefleurs Corona (5 x 42, $5.71), Robusto (5 x 52, $13.24), Wide Churchill (5 1/8 x 58, $14.71), Grand Toro (6 x 54, $16.18), and the double-tapered Figurado (6 1/2 x 52, $17.65). Each size is elegantly packaged in boxes of 24, providing aficionados with ample quantities of these special cigars.
The cigars are meticulously crafted at the PDR factory in the Dominican Republic, a testament to the brand’s commitment to delivering exceptional quality. As the Flores y Rodriguez 18th Anniversary makes its way to retailers, cigar enthusiasts can anticipate a celebratory smoking experience that marries the rich legacy of PDR Cigars with the innovation and uniqueness that characterize this special release.
