SpecialsOscar Valladares goes back to the future

Oscar Valladares goes back to the future. It is not the first time that the Honduran cigar manufacturer steps into a time machine for inspiration. Two years ago, Valladares came with the 1970s funk and pimp-inspired Superfly (read our review of the Oscar Valladares Superfly Maduro here). This year, Valladares goes back to the 1980s, back to the future.
The inspiration comes literally from back to the future, the movie trilogy with Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly and Christopher Lloyd as Dr. Emmett Brown. The cigar gets its name from the character of Michael J. Fox, McFly.
The cigars
The cigar will debut today at the PCA Convention & Trade Show and more news will come out. Right now all that is known is that there will be three sizes for now. A 6×52 Toro, 7×48 Churchill, and the unavoidable 6×60 Gordo. The cigars come in boxes of 20 pieces. The cigar will be a regular production line, rolling off the tables of the factory of Oscar Valladares Tobacco.
The Oscar Valladares McFly consists of a wrapper from Mexico, but what kind of wrapper is a mystery until later today. The binder comes from Honduras. The filler is a mixture of Dominican, Nicaraguan, and Honduran tobacco. Currently, there aren’t even pictures of the cigars available. The strength and flavor profile are still a mystery as well.
