Include Oliva in the roster of companies commemorating the upcoming Chinese New Year and the dragon, the forthcoming symbol on the zodiac calendar.

The Oliva Year of the Dragon takes the form of a Churchill, featuring an Ecuadorian Habano sun-grown wrapper enveloping a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers. Distinguishing itself from other Year of the Dragon cigars announced by brands such as Davidoff, Gurkha, Maya Selva, Drew Estate and VegaFina, Oliva’s rendition will be exclusively available through China Duty Free Group.

Priced at $35 per cigar or $350 per box of 10, this limited-edition release is set to be in high demand. The production is constrained to 1,500 boxes of 10 cigars, with plans for availability starting in mid-February.

Expressing enthusiasm about this special release, Thomas Gryson, Oliva’s export manager, stated, “We are thrilled to introduce the Oliva Year of the Dragon Churchill Cigar in celebration of the Chinese New Year in cooperation with CDF. This limited-edition collection is a true embodiment of our dedication to quality and craftsmanship. We have carefully curated this offering to provide aficionados with a unique and culturally significant cigar experience, making it a must-have for collectors and enthusiasts alike.” The Oliva Year of the Dragon not only marks the Chinese New Year but also stands as a testament to Oliva’s commitment to delivering exceptional and culturally resonant cigar experiences.

The boxes are bright red, with golden details, signifying prosperity and wealth in Chinese culture, but it’s also a flashback to the old Oliva Bold series, the predecessor of the Oliva O, which also had a red band and a gold print.
