It’s quite hard for cigar companies to get in the duty free shops in Europe. Habanos, Davidoff and STG have that market cornered, and for companies that are smaller than those three big players it’s next to impossible to get in as well.

After years of trying, Oliva found a way in. Soon Oliva cigars will be available duty free at Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris, France. Often duty free shops are part of a larger, multinational, corporation so it is our expectation that the Oliva duty free presence will spread out, first over Europe and then to other markets worldwide too. Great news for the fans of Nicaraguan cigars, now finally Nicaragua gets some proper representation at the duty free market.
