Oliva and Elie Bleu released a humidor together, 21 humidors each with 21 Oliva Serie V Melanio Figuriños, a new vitola for the priced blend. The humidor had a price tag of $21,000 to keep it in the 21 theme.

The Figuriño will now return as the Oliva Serie V Melanio Edición Año 2023. The cigar is a 5½x52 figurado and unlike the regular production Melanio, it is round instead of box-pressed.

“Figuriño came about after long discussions between myself, Gilberto (Oliva) and the team at Elie Bleu,” said Fred Vandermarliere, owner of Oliva, in a press release

The production is limited to 14,500 boxes of 10 cigars. It will be on display at the 2023 PCA Convention & Trade Show, which takes place July 8-11 in Las Vegas. Images show the cigar will use a different band than the cigars that were sold in humidors.

Oliva’s Edición Año is an annual release for the international markets. Typically, the cigars have been round versions of Melanio, a cigar that is normally sold as a box-pressed size. This will be the first year where the cigar will be sold in the U.S., though it will also be offered to international stores.
