New Macanudo in The Netherlands. The Macanudo Inspirado Green is introduced in The Netherlands by the Scandinavian Tobacco Group. The introduction took place via zoom. Dutch tobacconists were invited to log in and were informed by the STG Sales team about the new cigars. The Macanudo Inspirado Green is the latest in the growing Macanudo Inspirado series.

The Macanudo Inspirado Green is inspired by the color of the Brazilian flag. And that’s because the wrapper on this cigar is Brazilian Arapiraca. While the new green line includes three vitolas, only two are being introduced in The Netherlands. Those are the 5×52 Robusto with a price tag of € 6,50 and the 6×50 Toro with a price of €7. The 7×48 Macanudo Inspirado Green Churchill is not being released in The Netherlands at this time.

Macanudo Inspirado Series

The series now consists of six different blends. That includes the small-batch Macanudo Inspirado Palladium. This cigar uses the near-extinct tercio aging process to create a truly unique smoking experience. This process ages the tobacco in palm bark instead of burlap which traps the tobacco’s natural oils and creates a more intense flavor. It features a double Connecticut blend with tobaccos from Mexico, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic.

The first Macanudo Inspirado was the Red line. The Inspirado Red is dressed in Ecuadoran Habano ligero, bound with Nicaraguan Jalapa and blended with rare, aged tobaccos, including twelve-year Nicaraguan Ometepe, ten-year Honduran Jamastran and five-year Nicaraguan Esteli.

The next release was the Macanudo Inspirado Black. Using a new, innovative process, the Connecticut Broadleaf plants underwent special cultural practices, leaving the leaves to ripen on the stalk. Featuring proprietary seeds grown in Estelí, it’s a uniquely fermented blend that produces the utmost in strength and flavor. The binder is Ecuadorian Sumatra.

Then there is the Macanudo Inspirado White. An Ecuadoran Connecticut wrapper, aged for 6 years, delivers an aesthetic quality like no other. Inside, an Indonesian binder brings forth an aromatic richness. Nicaraguan Estelí and Mexican San Andrés leaves, each aged for four years make up the filler.

The Macanudo Inspirado Orange was released in 2014. It is handcrafted in Honduras and features hand-selected tobacco from Honduras, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic.
