More details about the Daniel Marshall by Carlos Fuente XXXVIII Limited Edition emerged. In February of this year, legendary humidor maker Daniel Marshall announced a new project. In collaboration with his life-long friend Carlos ‘Carlito’ Fuente, he is releasing a limited-edition anniversary cigar. The Daniel Marshall by Carlos Fuente XXXVIII Limited Edition.

From the first press release, it was clear that the cigars would only be sold in humidors. A 16 count humidor, which would contain 8 of these 6⅜x52 Torpedo shaped cigars. But Carlito Fuente persuaded Marshall to give it a little Marshall twist. For years, Daniel Marshall has been wrapping cigars in 24 Carat gold leaf. And now the content of the humidor changed from 8 traditional cigars to 7 traditional cigars plus one gold-wrapped cigar. The gold-wrapped cigar can be smoked as well. The gold leaf will melt around the ash and create a unique, strong, golden ash cone.

Price and availability

The pricing was unknown until now. Marshall revealed that the MSRP is set to $1495 for the humidor and the 7+1 cigars. The package also includes an ashtray, lighter, cutter, and a signed book. Plus membership to Daniel Marshall’s campfire club. That club is inspired by the Modern Day Campfire events which Marshall is hosting all over the world. During the Modern Day Campfires, humidors will be for sale as well.

To continue the 38th-anniversary theme, the cigars will only be offered to 38 of the best retailers worldwide. Which ones are yet to be announced. But those lucky 38 retailers are supplied later this month. We were lucky enough to have smoked the Daniel Marshall by Carlos Fuente XXXVIII Limited Edition.
