Manny Iriarte launches The OpusX Society. The Cuban American artist, photographer, and former member of the Cuban national swimming team collaborates with Arturo Fuente again. Previously Iriarte and Fuente collaborated on the OpusX 20th anniversary and on the Arturo Fuente watches by Hublot. Now there is the OpusX Society with close to a dozen cigar accessories, all with Fuente branding.

The collections consist of colorful humidors, striking cigar cases, lighters and ashtrays, and other creative accessories. The collection will debut at the PCA Convention & Trade Show in two weeks’ time. There will also be coffee mugs, Glencairn tasting glasses for whisky, and travel ware such as duffle bags. But the highlights of the collection are the Elie Bleu humidors in two styles. A red theme with the name El Rojo and a blue El Azul. There are only 50 pieces of both, with an MSRP of $8000. There are Elie Bleu J-14 lighters in the same design, of which only 50 are made as well.

8 years in the making

As early as 2013, Iriarte and Carlito Fuente were discussing the idea of The OpusX Society. It took six years just to materialize, and in 2019 Iriarte began designing. Now Iriarte is ready, after launching his Manny Iriarte Enterprise. And Iriarte is working on more designs and accessories for The OpusX Society.

“This has been the result of a vision, focus, and many years of meetings of the minds,” says Carlos ‘Carlito’ Fuente Jr. on Facebook. “Manny Iriarte is my brother, friend and has all my best wishes for the success he is going to accomplish.”

The collection can be split into three rough categories. A category that focuses on OpusX, another one that uses the Arturo Fuente brands, plus original Manny Iriarte designs without a link to the Arturo Fuente portfolio. The Arturo Fuente brands in The OpusX Society are Don Carlos, Gran Reserva, and Hemingway. Each of these brands has an ashtray, an Elie Blue EDC4 cutter, Elie Bleu J-15 lighter, and a humidor. The humidors are not from Elie Blue, except for the Limited Edition OpusX ones.

The Elie Blue humidors, El Rojo, and El Azul lighters are available through Elie Bleu. All other products from The OpusX Society will be available throughout Manny Iriarte Enterprises and retailers globally.
