SpecialsMalaysia is getting a Cohiba Atmosphere
Author: Inspector Z
Malaysia is getting a Cohiba Atmosphere. And the expected opening is in the final quarter of this year. It’s not news that there’s a Cohiba Atmosphere coming to Kuala Lumpur. Yet that the opening is confirmed for the end of the year is. The opening has been postponed a few times, but sources within the Cuban cigar community have confirmed an October opening to us.

The Cohiba Atmosphere will be located in the Petaling Jaya area of Malaysia’s capital Kuala Lumpur. The location is about 60 kilometers north of Kuala Lumpur Airport, and 20 kilometers east of the iconic Petronas Twin Towers. It will be the largest cigar lounge in Malaysia. Cohiba Atmosphere Kuala Lumpur is a 3 storey building with a seating capacity of over 80 people. It will have four elegantly designed private rooms.

Cohiba Atmosphere Concept
The concept of the Cohiba Atmosphere is an upgraded version of a La Casa del Habano. Where La Casa del Habano franchises are more focused on retail, the Cohiba Atmosphere is more hospitality-focused. Luxurious lounges, high-quality drinks, a perfect pairing. The concept is owned by Habanos S.A., the marketing and distribution arm of Cuba Tabaco.

There are only a few Cohiba Atmosphere worldwide. There are franchises in Europe (Antwerp- Belgium, Sofia – Bulgaria, Tirana – Albania, Prague – Czech Republic). The Americas have Cohiba Atmosphere lounges in Buenos Aires Argentina, Cancun Mexico, and Havana, Cuba. There’s a Cohiba Atmosphere in Kuwait, the only one in the Middle East. Asia has Cohiba Atmosphere lounges in Bangkok – Thailand, Tokyo – Japan, Hong Kong, and Phnom Pen – Cambodia. Shanghai is the only city in the world with two Cohiba Atmosphere lounges. Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is the next Cohiba Atmosphere to open.
We have an invitation for the official opening. We will be traveling to Malaysia’s capital for the event. And while we are at it, we will be visiting a few more lounges for a second edition of the vibrant cigar scene of Kuala Lumpur.
