Magic toast goes box-pressed. Alec Bradley is adding a box-pressed limited edition later this year. But there is a catch for retailers to get these cigars. To be able to order them, they have to attend the PCA Convention & Trade Show. The show takes place in Las Vegas from July 10 to 14.

The Alec Bradley Magic Toast Box Press is a 6×54 Toro with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $11 before tax. The blend is the same as the rest of the Magic Toast line. The cigars are not regular production toros that are being pressed though, as the regular production toro has a ring of 52.

The blend consists of a Honduran wrapper and two binders. The binders come from Honduras and Nicaragua. The filler comes from both these countries as well. Recently Alec Bradley made an announcement that all boxes would carry 24 cigars, and that goes for this release as well. The cigars come from Fabrica de Tabacos Raices Cubanas in Danli, Honduras

PCA

“The Premium Cigar Association and this trade show are very important for the future of our industry,” says Alec Bradley brand owner Alan Rubin. “Now, more than ever, it is important that we stick together as one unified industry and the PCA trade show is the best vehicle to achieve this.”

Several other brands are introducing cigars that are exclusively available for retailers who attend the PCA trade show. This is a response to several high-profile brands not attending. After Drew Estate, General Cigars, Davidoff, and Altadis USA announced they would not be at the PCA 2020, many family-owned companies responded with PCA exclusive cigars. Due to the covid-19 pandemic, there was no PCA 2020. Yet Alec Bradley, and several others, are continuing with PCA exclusive cigars to draw more visitors to the convention and trade show.

International fans of Alec Bradley are out of luck. Alec Bradley Cigars isn’t offering the box-pressed Magic Toast to international distributors of the brand.
