After a series of impressive 90+ ratings, Macanudo proudly announces a new addition to the Emissary España line: a limited-edition, box-pressed torpedo (6 x 52) vitola. This release brings a new shape to the Emissary España, but it retains the same sophisticated blend that has garnered so much acclaim. The box-pressed torpedo promises a smooth smoking experience that showcases the rare and aged tobaccos used in the blend.

Macanudo Emissary España features a selection of incredibly rare tobaccos, aged between 5 and 10 years. The centrepiece of this blend is the Havana seed tobacco grown in Riolobos, Spain, making it a unique offering in the Macanudo portfolio. This marks the first expansion of the Emissary line-up since its initial release, adding a fresh twist to the collection.

The cigar’s blend is impressive not only for its name but also for its carefully aged components. It starts with a U.S. Connecticut Broadleaf Claro wrapper that has been aged for 5 years. The binder is a Nicaraguan Condega leaf, aged for 6 years, adding a rich foundation to the blend. The filler is a complex combination of Dominican Piloto (aged 5 years), Colombian tobacco (aged 5 years), Nicaraguan ASP (aged 6 years), and the standout Spanish tobacco, aged for 10 years. Together, these tobaccos create a harmonious balance of flavours, delivering a cigar that is both refined and bold.

Steve Abbot, Macanudo’s director of marketing, expressed the brand’s vision behind the Emissary line-up: “For the Emissary line-up, we really wanted to pull out all the stops and craft a cigar that epitomizes European sophistication. We are really happy with the result, and based on the popularity of the cigar, we wanted to come out with another great offering. We landed on a box-pressed torpedo, which brings out the best of the blend for a smooth smoking experience that highlights the rare tobaccos within.”

In addition to the new box-pressed torpedo, the Macanudo Emissary España is available full-time in several vitolas, including Robusto (5 x 54), Toro (6 x 52), Perfecto (6 x 54), and Churchill (7 x 48). However, the new torpedo will be a limited release, with only 1,500 boxes available. The cigars will begin shipping to stores on October 1, with an MSRP of $17.99 for each box-pressed torpedo.
