Le Hoyo de Rio Seco world launch. Last night two new Cuban cigars were introduced. The cigars were launched in Beirut, Libanon during an event. We weren’t there but our friend from Baku, Çağdaş Çıldır, was. He provided us these videos and pictures of what seems to be a great event.

Le Hoyo de Rio Seco

Le Hoyo de Rio Seco is the latest addition to the Hoyo de Monterrey brand. It is a 5½x56 Cuban puro and the first big ring gauge under the Hoyo umbrella. The factory name is Armorosos, but the secondary name is Robusto Extra. Cubatabaco and Habanos have never used this specific size before.

The Le Hoyo de Rio Seco is part of the special Le Hoyo series. In the early days, more Hoyo de Monterrey cigars had the name “Le Hoyo du”. Some are still in production, but most are not. Habanos is bringing the tradition back. It started in 2014 with Le Hoyo de San Juan. The de Rio Seco is the second in the new Le Hoyo series.

Trinidad Shorts

The other cigar introduced is Trinidad Shorts. Those are machine-made cigarillos. Wrapped in cellophane and packed in cardboard boxes of ten cigarillos. The only other shorts available is the Cohiba Shorts. These machine-made cigarillos measure 3¼x26 and are the perfect smoke for a short break. Or for the cold months in colder climates. Habanos is choosing their most respected brands for the shorts series with Cohiba and Trinidad. High end, high profile machine-made cigarillos are a new concept for Habanos. The Cohiba Shorts were introduced last year.

Enjoy the photos and video taken by our dear friend Çağdaş Çıldır.
