Founded by Aaron Paoletta in September 2022, LaVega Cigar Company credits Tony Bellatto of Bellatto Premium Cigars/Lost&Found for the pivotal role he played in bringing The Nano to life.

The inspiration for The Nano came during a moment of camaraderie between Paoletta and Bellatto. Having personally experienced the Nicaraguan-crafted cigar at an undisclosed factory, Bellatto was so impressed that he shared it with Paoletta. The allure of The Nano was undeniable, prompting Paoletta to acquire the remaining inventory, totaling just 1,100 cigars.

While details about the blend remain elusive, it has been revealed that The Nano boasts a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper. Priced at $9.75 per cigar, The Nano will be available exclusively in bundles of 13. This intentional choice by Paoletta is aimed at minimizing environmental impact, showcasing the company’s commitment to sustainability. Additionally, retailers placing orders for The Nano will receive a beautifully crafted wooden display box, meticulously made in LaVega Cigar Co.’s Pennsylvania warehouse.

Reflecting on the introduction of The Nano, Paoletta fondly recalled the moment Tony Bellatto handed him the cigar, saying, “Tony handed me a cigar and said, ‘here, I want you to try this. Tell me what you think of it.’ I said, ‘it’s a small little bastard’ and he said, ‘but it’s got a big flavor.’” Paoletta was so captivated by the cigar’s unique profile that he immediately decided to switch cigars and savor The Nano’s remarkable combination of nuttiness and earthy tones.
