Last year Kyle Gellis from Warped Cigars opened Venture 1492 as a consultation and distribution firm for new brands and private labels. But now he’s releasing a cigar under that name as well. The cigar hails from Tabacalera La Isla, where the Warped Chinchalle and Warped Companion are also made. Hostos Quesada started Tabacalera La Isla about two years ago.

The Venture 1492 Gran Corona has a Mexican San Andres wrapper over a Dominican binder from Cotui. The filler is a blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos. The cigar measures 5½x48. A box contains 25 cigars and should be in American retail stores early February.
