Nicaragua’s oldest and most renowned cigar factory, Joya de Nicaragua, is commemorating its 55th anniversary this year with the release of a special cigar, the Joya de Nicaragua Cinco de Cinco. This exceptional cigar has started making its way to retail stores.

The name “Cinco de Cinco” translates to “five out of five” in Spanish, symbolizing the five decades of excellence and dedication that Joya de Nicaragua has displayed in the cigar industry. The Cinco de Cinco cigar is now part of the company’s Obras Maestras series, which includes its high-end, premium products. The blend is meticulously crafted, featuring a Mexican San Andrés wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder, and a selection of premium Nicaraguan fillers.

Juan Ignacio Martínez, Executive Vice President of Joya de Nicaragua, expressed the significance of this release, stating, “This cigar was made with the people, by the people and for the people. Our past is all about tobacco. Our bright future is all about tobacco. We are here, stronger than ever thanks to our wonderful community of amigos.”

Founded in 1968, Joya de Nicaragua holds the prestigious title of being the oldest operating cigar factory in Nicaragua, known for its rich heritage and dedication to the craft.

The Joya de Nicaragua Cinco de Cinco is available in five different sizes, each featuring a soft box-pressed shape. These sizes are as follows:

Corona Doble (7 x 54) — Priced at $21 per cigar or $210 per box of 10.
Corona Extra (6 1/4 x 46) — Priced at $16 per cigar or $160 per box of 10.
Toro (6 x 52) — Priced at $20 per cigar or $200 per box of 10.
Robusto Gordo (5 1/2 x 54) — Priced at $18 per cigar or $180 per box of 10.
Robusto (5 x 50) — Priced at $16 per cigar or $160 per box of 10.

The Corona Doble and Robusto vitolas will be reserved for international markets, while the other three vitolas will be available for purchase in the United States and other markets.

The Joya de Nicaragua Cinco de Cinco is a testament to the company’s unwavering commitment to producing exceptional cigars, and it is a fitting tribute to its remarkable 55-year journey in the world of premium cigars.
