Scandinavian Tobacco Group’s Forged Cigar Co. is excited to announce the launch of a new, limited edition El Rey del Mundo cigar, titled “King of the World.” This release is the result of a special collaboration with Justo Eiroa of JRE Tobacco, marking a significant addition to the El Rey del Mundo portfolio.

The “King of the World” cigar is a 6 x 50 Honduran puro, crafted entirely from Honduran-grown tobacco. It features a habano-seed wrapper, corojo binder, and habano fillers. According to the company, the cigar delivers a medium-strength smoking experience, highlighted by “notes of citrus, cedar, light spice, and cream,” making it an appealing choice for both seasoned aficionados and newcomers to the brand.

“We are honoured to have worked alongside Justo Eiroa in creating this special edition for El Rey del Mundo,” said Cory Beardsley, brand manager for El Rey del Mundo, in a press release. “The El Rey del Mundo name holds a legendary status in the cigar industry, and this limited edition ‘King of the World’ brings a refined, nuanced experience that will resonate with enthusiasts and collectors alike.”

The cigars are produced at Eiroa’s Fábrica de Puros Aladino S.A. in Honduras, a factory known for its high-quality craftsmanship. While this is the first time El Rey del Mundo cigars have been manufactured at this facility, JRE Tobacco has collaborated with Scandinavian Tobacco Group on several other successful projects.

Production is limited to just 2,000 boxes, each containing 16 cigars, for a total run of 32,000 cigars. Given the limited nature of this release, demand is expected to be high. According to a spokesperson from Forged Cigar Co., the “King of the World” cigars have already begun shipping to retailers and will be available in stores this month.
