Intertabac comes with a hybrid alternative. The trade show had to cancel its 2020 Trade Show. Intertabac always takes place in September and is the largest tobacco and accessory trade show in the world. But now there is an alternative. Partially at the Messe Dortmund and partially online.

The ITShub as the event is called will take place on November 3 and 4. The location is the same as always, Messe Dortmund aka Westfalenhallen. But the difference is that there is an on-site experience as well as virtual participation. That enables the organizers to hold an event even during the pandemic and all the restrictions surrounding covid-19.

On-site the visitors can visit boots as regular, but with more space and extra hygiene measures. That way the required social distancing and other measures by the German government will be respected. The Westfalenhallen will be divided into two areas. One for the exhibitor booths, the other with sufficient space for networking and business deals. Tickets for the ITShub cost €22

Online participation

Joining ITShub online is free of charge. But registering is required. It allows online participants to follow speaker and discussion groups. Streamed video tours of innovations are included. And all in English, so international visitors can join the virtual trade show.

The program will be slowly revealed on the ITShub website in the months to come. We registered for the trade show and will report on all the cigar, and cigar related, news coming from ITShub and its participants. As soon as the program is revealed, we will update this article. Stay tuned for more information about ITShub.
