Intertabac 2018 My Father Cigars. In Dortmund, at Intertabac, My Father Cigars introduced La Gran Oferta. A line extension of the My Father Cigars series. The cigar is new to the European markets. Janny Garcia made some time to tell us about it.
La Gran Oferta
The name means the great offer. And it’s a big risk to name a cigar this way. It raises the expectations, especially coming from such a powerhouse as My Father Cigars. Anything less than amazing is not a great offer from this company.
Just like La Antiguedad and La Flor de Las Antillas, this is an old brand. My Father Cigars is resurrecting old brands with new blends. And with old, they mean vintage. Brands that died decades ago. Yet somehow My Father Cigars manages to geet the original artwork and uses that on the resurrected brands.
The blend and sizes
At Intertabac 2018 My Father Cigars introduced the cigars for the international markets. The production takes place in Nicaragua. At the My Father Cigars factory. The binder and filler are all Nicaraguan. The wrapper is Habano Rosado. The cigars come in boxes of twenty. And there are five sizes available. A 5×50 Robusto and a 6×50 Toro. Then there is a 6×56 Toro Gordo and a 6â…›x52 Torpedo. Last but not least, there is a 7½x38 Lancero.
