Hiram & Solomon is releasing the Curamus. It is a new edition to the core line, yet the original release only comes in 450 boxes. The Masonic brand crafted this cigar specially for a fellow mason. M.W. Robert V. Monacelli is the Grand Master of the most ancient and honorable society of freemasons for the state of New Jersey.

We care

In a press release, Hiram & Solomon owner Fouad Kashouty explains. “The new cigar has the name Curamus. It is a Latin word that translates to ‘we care’. That is a simple yet important mantra for Freemasons”. And it’s true, the brand history proves it, Hiram & Solomon started as a one-off release to raise money for charity. Yet the demand was big enough to turn it into a business.

Since the beginning, Hiram & Solomon donated tens of thousands of dollars to several charities through their cigars. Both to Masonic charities Luke the Shriners Children’s Hospital and non-Masonic community events. Curamus will follow that tradition. A portion of the proceeds will go to the White Flower Society and the Almoner’s Fund for the Scottish rite of the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction.

The cigar

The first-ever cigar from Hiram & Solomon came from the Dominican Republic. But in a later stage production moved to Nicaragua. For this release, Hiram & Solomon moves back to the Dominican Republic. To the Blue Star factory, better known as PDR Cigars.

Together with master blender Abe Flores, Fouad Kashouty came up with a blend of a Pennsylvania Broadleaf Natural wrapper and. Mexican binder. The filler comes from Pennsylvania and the Dominican Republic. There is only one vitola, a 6×52 Toro. It comes in classic-style Cuban boxes of 20 cigars. Each box comes with a Boveda pack to ensure proper humidity.
