Habanos releases next Linea Retro
Habanos releases next Linea Retro. And this time it is a 5⅛x42 Petit Corona from the H. Upmann marca. It is the third installment of the Linea Retro Collection. The first was the Romeo y Julieta Club Kings. The Partagas Capitolsis the second offering. And now there is the H. Upmann Regalias.
Linea Retro
In 2017, Habanos announced the birth of the Linea Retro. Two marevas, one from Partagas and one from Romeo y Julieta would be released in retro-style packaging. A nod to the packaging these cigars used to have before being discontinued.
The Romeo y Julieta Club Kings and the Partagas Capitols were released earlier this year. According to Habanos, the delay was caused by the packaging. Beautiful metal tins with a retro look. The tins open when the logo of the cigar brand is pressed. And now the H. Upmann Regalias, the third release for the Linea Retro is available in several countries, with more to follow.

H. Upmann Mareva
It is not the first time that a cigar with this size is available under the H. Upmann brand. But unlike all the previous versions, this one is handmade instead of machine-made. The list of previous H. Upmann cigars with the 5⅛x42 size is: Aromaticos, discontinued in 2003, and the Coronas Major, discontinued in 2002. This is a different vitola than the current H. Upmann Coronas Major. The machine-made H. Upmann Coronas Major came with and without tubes, but there is also a 1999 Siglo XXI millennium humidor that contains this cigar.
In the late 1990s, Habanos discontinued the Exquisitos. The Kings were chopped in 2002, and the Medias Coronas in the 1980s. The latest machine-made Marevas to disappear from the H. Upmann brand is the Petit Coronas in 2017. The Upmann No4 isn’t made since 2002 and was also available in the Silo XXI humidor. The name Regalias faded from the Upmann portfolio before the revolution in 1959.
