At the PCA Convention & Trade Show, Gurkha Cigars will not only showcase the 35th anniversary and the Beauty 25th anniversary but also the Gurkha year of the Dragon. Gurkha is joining the growing number of cigar brands that create a cigar for the Chinese Zodiac calendar.

The Year of the Dragon 2024 is a figurado, measuring 6¾x52 and limited to 1000 individually numbered boxes of 15. The boxes are made with a red piano finish, decorated with ornate gold dragons. Classic colours for a Chinese New Year release as red and gold are the colours of good fortune and wealth. Where Gurkha breaks the tradition is the number of cigars, 8 is a lucky number in Chinese culture but Gurkha opted for boxes of 15 instead of 8 or 16.

For production of the cigars Gurkha teamed up with Artista Cigars in the Dominican Republic. The cigars will only be offered to retailers hand-picked by Gurkha.
